First big thing! FUEL

Well here I am less than six weeks into owning a real rock club, I'm on the verge of producing its first genuine national act. FUEL! Hell I thought, I've seen these guys down in the Harrisburg area three or four years ago this shouldn't be too difficult. EEECHHHKKKK!!! So load-in @ 11:00, thats a.m. and, well lets not make this a long story. It was 10 hours later and with two tour buses out back and people lining up outside, sound checks just finishing up we were still an hour from show time. Remember as support acts we had Bif Naked (she was hot then) and Clove so this should have been a soldout show. We did however only have three weeks to prepare and the local patronage had not been used to live music on a regular basis for awhile. They were still trying to get aquainted with that fact. Still are, I think, almost three years later. Lets jump a couple hours forward, 600 people, a great opening act and Bif Naked on stage. This was unbelievable! Completely crushed by the enormous amount of preparations and magnitude that had taken place up to this point I did however miss much of Bifs' act. Hey it was a cool hug in the cooler though with her guitar player. Then it was the guys from Fuels turn - this was awesome. Fourty-five minutes later it was over, an hour later a magnitude of trash and exhaustion I had never experienced. The thing that inspires you even at that point is the fact you just had an unreal show, GREAT LIVE MUSIC! So maybe I wasn't on stage but damn it was cool being part of that whole LIVE MUSIC show. This is what its all about, please support live music and all the musicians who are trying to live their dream.

AWESOME, totally awesome! One of my top five all time performances here. Truly on the brink of a major label. To play with the acts of Mudvayne, Drowning Pool and Coal Chamber should say enough. From the Baltimore, Washington D.C. area these guys pounded our souls. Hope the lack of local support will not deter these guys from coming back..Good luck guys!!!
