Bands will be encouraged to share gear. Sets are 40 minutes.
Bands will be judges on a lot, including: Music, Professionalism, Attitude,
Following, Image and Stage presence and I'm not gonna'
tell you who the judges are either. But it could be the soundman, club manager,
waitress, customers and one person picked from the crowd each night before
the first band starts. The winner may not be announced until the next day on the
radio but maybe that night. The winner of each night will play on the
final night for the PMC Showcase Slot on June 15 or 16 and Philadelphia
Music Conference laminates.
Hard Rock - Heavy Original Bands for The Central Pennsylvania Showcase at the
Philadelphia Music Conference
- June 13-16, 2001.
There will be a New Music Showcase / Competition every Wednesday in April at
Gullifty's.
9 bands will be selected to play in this playoff competition. 3 bands on April 4,
3 bands on April 11, 3 bands on April 18, and the finals on April 25.

The winner of the each of the first 3 shows appears in the finals, and the winner of
the finals appears at the Central Pennsylvania Showcase at the Philadelphia Music
Conference in June.
In order to qualify for the New Music Showcase / Competition - Central Pennsylvania Showcase -
you must first submit a showcase application, or have already submitted an application,
to the Philadelphia Music Conference -
APPLY HERE.

Then, after you've applied to the PMC,
Send an E-mail to John Harris - along with a 40
word description, stating your interest in the New Music Showcase / Competition.
Ideal candidates should be hard rock - heavy, original bands from Central Pennsylvania. These
bands should expect to play a 40 minute set either April 4, 11, or 18 at 10, 11, or 12.
Deadlines: The deadline for submitting a showcase application to the PMC is March 23.
The New Music Showcase / Competition selections will be made by March 26.
