It's definitely a good time, and a good opportunity to make contacts with people. The people are there. For PopFest, my room was at Marina Suites, completely overlooking the bay. It had a jacuzzi or a hot tub or something. It was very good, very chill. My room at last years DBMCF was good as well, but not as awesome as Popfest. Seriously, worthwhile. It's like MMC, not quite as big, and the partying is more fragmented. People really like the chill atmosphere of the meet and greets at BooksandCoffee. The tradeshow floor and mentor sessions in Crabbers Cove. All of the shows are within walking distance. You won't need to drive at all when you're there. Great bands play these stages. This summer, Bottle and Cork is having tons and tons of national acts. http://deweybeachlife.com. The quality of bands that have already applied this year is high, but not crazy, some bands can't be accepted. But do make sure that you get your stuff in.
