The Bennies just got back from a mini tour last weekend with Frank Black and the Catholics (ex-Pixies frontman) at Little Brother's in Columbus, Rosebud in Pittsburgh, and Bogart's in Cincinnati. The Bennies recent CD "Fossil Record" was produced by Steve Albini, and IMHO, is a great, great CD, very much deserving to get distributed by an indie label. Over the last month or so, I've been listening to this CD more than any other. Also appearing is Douglas Leader, from NYC, an indie pop/rock band with horns (11p) and Harbor Gentleman (10p). Also that day, Friday March 28, Harrisburg's own Sceva will be playing at the Tweeter Center in Camden, NJ in front of 7,000 fans at the sold-out Disturbed, et al show. Way to go Sceva! Sceva's set 2 weeks ago at The Why're was real good. The home crowd was eating out of the palm of their hand. Those in the Pittsburgh area should check out The Underwater at Thiel College in Greenville, PA, then buzz over to the Hard Rock Cafe and check out Oleander. Saturday should be huge at Gullifty's with Dead 50s CD Release Party, Rotoglow (if you haven't seen Rotoglow yet, where have you been? - if you have, now's a good time to see them again - a great, great band), and Big Green Limo. Great music and big numbers there. Quality and big fun. ---------------------------- BIZ # BIZ # BIZ # BIZ # BIZ # BIZ BIZ # BIZ # BIZ # BIZ # BIZ # BIZ ----------------------------- 7TH ANNUAL MILLENIUM MUSIC CONFERENCE http://musicconference.net A great success.
