THE UNDERWATER, SCEVA, THIRTEEN OVER EIGHT, MAD REVERE AT UNDERDOG - ON PAXTON STREET HARRISBURG Halestorm "cancelled" at the last minute. Now, I have a bit of control over the book there, so, probably, things like that won't be happening (ie, Halestorm has been in the process of retooling for a while, I've known that, blah blah blah). But, on Sunday or Monday a full night just opened up, and why not just blow it up with great great rock. THE UNDERWATER, SCEVA, THIRTEEN OVER EIGHT, MAD REVERE. That would do it. Maybe Lauren will be there before she goes to Boston (or can we convince her to stay?) This is a 21+ show, just a great show in a bar. Underdog. The cover is $3. Is a $3 cover too high for these bands? Of course not. 9:30 or 10 start till about 1:30 or 2. (I want to mention the Case 150, The Stapletons show too, at Firehouse, that's a good show too, but this one will really be banging, seriously). This is the exact 4 bands that played MMC on Friday Whitaker last, and it was quite huge turnout wise. Now, there's no competition, so, it should be huge (blah blah, no time to promote, blah blah, YOU'RE READING IT) It's true, these 4 bands are playing. No suck at all top to bottom, pure quality, and probably a sweet MMC 429 style afterparty. Also, I hope that they play the CD or CD's that I bring. Nice compilations with Pretty Girls Make Graves, Sleater, Von Bondies, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah's, Donnas, Liars, Sahara, Mooney, atdi, MC5, the nightmare scenario, mudhoney/cobain, saves, Stooges, masters of reality, cato salsa, Rival Schools. That might be better than the generic stuff you hear between sets. I'll bring a bunch of stuff, but I happen to like that one comp pretty well.
